Well Bowl Me Over!

Monday, July 26, 2010 (and repeated frequently since). This was Noah and Sam's introduction to bowling. And boy was it a hit. We have subsequently spent many an hour at the alleys (and, since Christmas, on the Wii) rolling the rocks. These kids are naturals.

From his very first step, his approach was flawless. And despite running full speed, he never crosses the line. It's amazing, really.

Are you kidding me? This boy has PBA Champ written all over him. And you have no idea how much he loves bowling. Actually, look at the picture again...ok, now you have an idea.

Had to post a second shot, because one just wasn't enough.

Nut was determined to bowl just like big brother, including using the same ball - despite it weighing what seemed to be four times the weight of his little Peanut body.

Thank goodness for bumpers, because this boy had so much english on the ball that it was really more like spanglish. Whatever he was doing was working though, because he picked up split after split after split.

After the first game, Nut's arms started wearing down, so we brought in the iron maiden of bowling (except that it's not really a "medieval instrument of torture," but still, that makes it sound wicked cool). Even with the ramp, Jerry put some sweet spin on his rolls. Check out that left-hand follow-through.

Ben, you are seriously the best daddy a little guy could ask for.

I love that you are updating your blog. Matter of fact, I was going to post a reminder to you to do just that and lookie there - you did it.

Thanks for checking in, Deni. And thanks for the kind comments. Yeah, I was seriously behind. I cranked out as many posts yesterday (8) as I did in all of 2010. Sad for 2010. But I'm back in 2011.
